{"id":2633,"date":"2020-05-07T14:48:01","date_gmt":"2020-05-07T14:48:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/realestateagentmagazine.com\/?p=2633"},"modified":"2020-05-07T14:48:01","modified_gmt":"2020-05-07T14:48:01","slug":"realtors-report-that-77-of-potential-home-sellers-are-preparing-to-sell-following-end-of-stay-at-home-orders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/realestateagentmagazine.com\/realtors-report-that-77-of-potential-home-sellers-are-preparing-to-sell-following-end-of-stay-at-home-orders","title":{"rendered":"Realtors\u00ae Report That 77% of Potential Home Sellers are Preparing to Sell Following End of Stay-At-Home Orders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WASHINGTON, DC\u2014More than 3 in 4 potential sellers \u2013 77% \u2013 are preparing to sell their homes following the end of stay-at-home orders, with half completing do-it-yourself home improvement projects, according to a new survey from the National Association of Realtors<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter a pause, home sellers are gearing up to list their properties with the reopening of the economy,\u201d said NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun. \u201cPlenty of buyers also appear ready to take advantage of record-low mortgage rates and the stability that comes with these locked-in monthly payments into future years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>NAR\u2019s latest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nar.realtor\/research-and-statistics\/research-reports\/nar-flash-survey-economic-pulse\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Economic Pulse Flash Survey<\/a> \u2013 conducted May 3-4 \u2013 asked members how the coronavirus outbreak has impacted the residential and commercial real estate markets. Several highlights include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Five percent of Realtors<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> said their clients are shifting neighborhood preferences from urban areas to suburban areas due to COVID-19.<\/li>\n<li>About 1 in 8 Realtors<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> \u2013 13% \u2013 reported buyers have changed at least one home feature that\u2019s important to them due to COVID-19.
